Roller Typing feels just like a game based on the sport of roller-blading. This premise may work well for some children, but mature kids may feel this typing software is, well, corny. The manufacturer, EdVenture Software, has focused on making typing drills visually fun for youngsters, but that's all.
The program has five typing categories and 20 typing levels, but no typing practice material, no typing tips and no typing tests. Children progress through a typing level and move on to the next. Some of the typing sections are timed, however, so you can track improvements yourself.
The program is just corny enough that very young kids will probably enjoy it. We felt this typing software was expensive considering the light feature set. For less money, consider one of our top typing software choices, Typing Quick & Easy and Typing Pal Junior.
